Types of prayers
Easy delivery
We are grateful for the blessing of having a child, and we pray that both mother and child will be healthy and that you will have a safe delivery. If you bring a maternity belt, we will also perform a prayer for a safe delivery.
First shrine visit
We report the birth of your child to the gods, express our gratitude for the protection you have shown us so far, and pray for your child's healthy growth in the future.
Generally, the recommended time for the birth is 31 days after birth for boys and 33 days for girls, but please choose an auspicious day around that time.
After the prayer, you will receive a sacred amulet along with a set of items for the baby's first meal, a teething stone, and a gauze handkerchief.
Shichi-Go-San (a traditional Japanese rite of passage for children)
This visit, which takes place some time after the initial shrine visit, is a time to report the child's growth to the gods and to pray for their continued protection.
Since ancient times, the ages of three (hair-cutting ceremony), five (wearing a hakama), and seven (untying the obi) have been considered milestones in a child's growth and have been passed down as celebratory ages for both boys and girls.
After the prayer ceremony, you will receive a protective amulet, Chitose candy, and a toy set.
While the traditional date is November 15th, in recent years many people visit on a day that is convenient for them, so please make a reservation in advance by phone or at the reception desk.
Exorcism
For centuries, there has been a custom of considering certain ages in life as "unlucky years," and living them cautiously as a time when one is more prone to physical and mental ailments.
As you approach your unlucky year, we invite you to receive a purification ritual before the gods to ward off misfortune and pray for peaceful days ahead.
The unlucky years are considered to be three years: the year before, the year of, and the year after. After safely navigating these years, we recommend visiting a shrine to express gratitude for the end of the unlucky period.
A successful marriage
I pray that you will be blessed with good connections and that those connections will bear fruit.
This prayer is not limited to marriage; it is a prayer for various kinds of "connections" or "bonds," such as relationships between people or important encounters.
traffic safety
We pray for your safety and well-being during your daily travels by car, motorcycle, bicycle, etc., and for protection from misfortune wherever you go.
If you are arriving by car or motorcycle, please proceed to the front of the main shrine, where we will perform a prayer for traffic safety followed by a purification ceremony.
Passed the entrance exam
I pray that your efforts will bear fruit, and that you will pass the entrance exam for your desired school and improve your academic performance.
We also offer prayers for success in various exams, including national examinations, various qualification exams, and job interviews.
Traveling Festival
For ground-breaking ceremonies, roof-raising ceremonies, household deity ceremonies, and Shinto funeral ceremonies, a Shinto priest will visit the site and perform the rituals.
Advance registration is required.
*For off-site ceremonies, the prayer fee varies depending on the content, so please contact us by phone for details.
In addition, we also offer various prayers for family safety, recovery from illness, good health, business prosperity, protection from disaster and bringing good fortune, and the fulfillment of wishes.
If your prayer is difficult to express concisely, please feel free to consult with us.
